About C3 Workforce

Founded by a father and son. Built on doing what we say.

C3 Workforce is a family owned staffing and recruiting company, headquartered in Livonia, Michigan since 2010, on the ground in Upstate South Carolina, and doing business in all 50 states. We place production, quality, warehouse, skilled trades, engineering and technical people, and we do it on one idea: relationships, not resumes.

Our story

One had the sales experience. The other had the drive to build something better.

In 2010 a father and son started a staffing company in Metro Detroit. One had spent years in sales and knew how staffing was actually bought and sold. The other had the drive to build a company that would not behave like the ones they kept hearing about. C3 Workforce, Inc. was incorporated in Michigan in January 2010.

They heard the same thing from almost every prospective client: we have used every staffing company and they are all the same. Great resumes, candidates who do not work out, and a recruiter you never hear from again. That complaint became the founding idea. Any candidate we send to work for you should be qualified enough to work in our own office.

A detail that dates us: when we opened in 2010, we listed the company in Google and in the phone book. Social media was taking off but was nowhere near what it is today, and the Yellow Pages still mattered enough that we paid for the listing. We came in right at the end of that era. Today the people who find us are as likely to be asking an AI as typing into a search box, and we publish our research so the answer they get is a good one.

Sixteen years later C3 is still family owned and operated. The standard has not changed, and neither has the promise that came with it: we actually do what we say we are going to do.

What we believe

Three ideas that run the whole company.

None of them is complicated. All of them are rare in staffing.

01

Relationships, not resumes

A resume tells you where someone has worked. It does not tell you that they will not work in the cold, that they do their best work alone, that they hate a rotating shift or that they light up on a line that moves fast. Our recruiters know the candidates as people, so the match is made on the things that actually decide whether someone stays.

“Are you tired of getting great resumes and candidates that don’t work out? C3 Workforce was built on the idea that any candidate you send to work should be qualified enough to work in our own office.”
02

The 90 day thesis

Almost every temp to hire arrangement runs through a 90 day evaluation. Every candidate knows it. Most people can hold it together for 90 days, and people typically do not change on day 91. So we do not screen for someone who can survive the trial. We look for people whose track record is already longer than 90 days, so the person you hire is the person you met.

03

We do what we say we are going to do

Every staffing company makes the same promises. The difference is who actually shows up, calls back and fixes the problem. We quote within 24 hours, respond within one business day, and tell you the truth about a fill even when it is not what you want to hear. Candidates and clients are treated the same, with honesty and respect on both sides of the placement.

How C3 grew

From a Metro Detroit light industrial desk to a national footprint.

We grew the way our clients grew: one relationship at a time, into the roles and the places they needed us next.

Multiple markets across the country

Manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, food and logistics clients in markets across the United States. Temporary, temp to hire, direct placement and contract, in all 50 states.

Along the way the roles got more technical. The BBB describes C3 the way we describe ourselves: a full service staffing company that places candidates from light industrial factories to technical engineering firms, with full payroll and recruiting services, fully insured.

The people

Small enough that you know who is working your order.

A salesperson and a recruiter who know your account are the people you will actually talk to. No account managers in another time zone.

Kenneth Cuzelis

Kenneth runs C3 Workforce and still takes client calls personally. He set the standard the company screens to, that anyone we send should be qualified enough to work in our own office, and he is the person who will quote your order and tell you honestly what it will take to fill it.

One business day response

Values

How we behave when nobody is checking.

01

Honesty first, on both sides

Candidates get the real job description, the real pay and the real shift. Clients get the real fill timeline, even when it is longer than they hoped.

02

Know the person

We meet candidates, we ask what they want and what they will not do, and we remember the answers. That is the whole method.

03

Look past 90 days

We place for the year after the trial, not the 90 days inside it.

04

Say it, then do it

A quote within 24 hours. A response within one business day. If we cannot fill it, we say so instead of sending a warm body.

05

Treat clients and candidates the same

Respect is not a client benefit. It is the reason good associates come back to us, which is the reason clients stop shopping.
